Start Making Room for Dreams in your Life, Today
"I want to write a children's book"
"I want to become a singer"
"I want to help people become the person they aspire to be"
Ok, the last one was me, but still, the story is almost always the same.
After the fascinating dream has been revealed, a sad little "but", is ready to follow.
"I want to write a children's book, BUT my "real job" as an IT consultant keeps me busy all week and writing a book takes time."
"I want to become a singer, BUT it's too late for me to start now, besides I am really good at my job as a marketing professional."
"I want to help people become the person they aspire to be, BUT I am so busy running my own business and I cannot start over now."
The sad part is that, even people in their 20's or 30's, firmly believe that it is already too late for them to change their lives and make their dreams happen.
And my response to that, is always the same:
"Look for the dream that keeps coming back. It is your destiny."
If you have been dreaming of writing a book for 3,5,10 (how-many) years, then this dream will not go away, until you do something about it.
If you want to be a singer, why not book a few hours at a recording studio during the weekend and have fun signing and recording your favorite tunes or sing at your best friends birthday party or even go to your neighborhood kindergarten and sing for the kids.
Most of the time, those baby steps, are more than enough to bring a sense of contentment and joy into your life and turn your dream from something you used to consciously neglect to something that inspires you daily.
For me, the dream of helping people get closer to the person they aspire to be, has always been there. Goal setting, monitoring and re-setting, is written in my DNA. Helping corporations and individuals to plan courageously and execute fearlessly, is who I was born to be.
So, after letting my "buts" have the last word, for at least 10 years, I finally managed to talk back to them and take my first small step towards my goal, by launching my HappyBox365 Facebook page, a page dedicated to inspiring people on a daily basis (if you haven't already you can take a look and like my page here). That was almost a year and half now and since then I took several baby steps, to nurture my passion, including creating this blog, committing myself to become a "Life Change Architect", taking life coaching lessons and launching my coaching career.
