...OR a public love letter to the people I hold close to my heart
A public love letter to express my gratitude for having them in my life and to let them know that without them I would not be nearly as complete, as I am.
I believe that friends are the family we choose in life and I am beyond proud of MY family.
When I am hanging onto sanity by a thread (like when I was trying to find out my life purpose), I know my friends will be there to comfort and support me. When life gets crazy busy (while running a business, raising a child and changing a career path) I have the certainty that my friends will be there to encourage and inspire me and when I simply need to unwind and have a fabulous time, I know they will be right next to me, smiling and taking insanely silly photos!
And this winter I needed my friends more than ever. And they were all there for me.
MY Audrey, MY Christina, MY Julie, MY Kostas, My Yiannis.
I know I didn't have to name you, one by one, but the opportunity to make you cry, is too good to pass up!
The ones that stood the test of time.
The ones that never fizzled out.
The ones we will never outgrow.
The ones that helped us shape who we are today.
Do you have a friend whose words feel like a warm blanket on your shoulders? People that make you feel energized, happy and supported whenever you meet them?
When was the last time you openly expressed your gratitude, for having them in your life?
Well, do yourself a favor and let them know, how you feel. Write them a heartfelt letter, call them, meet them during the week and make sure they know how much you love and appreciate them and what an important role they have played in your development.
I know how easy it can be in today's crazy world to take something so special for granted. So, view this post as a wonderful opportunity to strengthen your relationship you share with the people you love most.
True friendships give our lives joy and meaning. Do not let them be pushed at the end of your priority list. Nurture and treasure them and you will never find yourself alone, without a pillar of strength.
