We are masters at making excuses, anything will do, from our genes to our upbringing and from our particular circumstances to how we are treated by others, we all have a build-in tendency to make excuses. And my question is...
Are these excuses keeping us from taking action and creating a life of purpose, passion and pleasure for ourselves?
I, on the other hand, believe that all of us are naturally creative, resourceful and destined to experience happiness and success, in our own, unique personal manner and it is my job, to hold that belief and create for my clients, the safe space they need, to positively transform their life and become their most magnificent self.
Here are some of the most commonly used excuses, I came across this far.
I don't know where to start. Well, most of us don't but that should not be an excuse for you to simply give up before you even begin. Start small, do some research, hire a coach or find a mentor.
I do not have a relevant degree. Newsflash, more than 50% of millionaire entrepreneurs never even finished college. Passion driven people become successful people, whether they have a degree or not.
I am too old to start now. Really? Grandma Moses didn't begin to paint until she was 76! Yes, 76 and that was when she started, because she actually became famous way in her nineties! When it comes to fulfilling your dreams there is no such thing as old.
I do not have enough money. Not today maybe but that can change. Start saving money. Keep your day job until your passion starts paying the bills, crowd-fund your idea. Anything goes, be creative and persistent and the money will come.
Whenever I need inspiration to keep pursuing my dreams, to not let my current circumstances discourage me from going after the life I know I deserve, these people come to mind. These extraordinary individuals who despite their lack of resources, poor health, financial status or social standing, somehow knew that life is too precious to be wasted on excuses and decided to go for it, anyway and reach for the stars.
