I am blessed. Mostly because of all the wonderful people, that have found their way into my life and the deep love and connection I have developed with them, over the years. A small group of trusted souls. A support network ready to take action or simply make a good day, wonderful. My friends. Read here the public love letter I wrote just for them. |
New Meaningful Connections Are Being Forged Online, Every Day
To be honest, I never thought why I have this intuitive sense of connection with you all, where it's coming from and why it gets stronger as time goes by. But yesterday, I had an Aha! moment, during my morning walk. The emotional connection forged between us, becomes stronger and stronger because, every day, you are sharing with me, your personal feelings, thoughts, ideas and challenges.
I know more about some of you, than I probably ever learn, about most of the people I work with or get to meet on a regular basis.
Since I know so much about you, I thought it would be great to put together, a list of 5 things, you don't know about me and share it, with you. But when I started writing, I found no point in stopping at 5 -how typical-. I wanted to share as many things about me, to help you, get to know the -rather peachy- person behind the posts, show you different angles of my personality and shed more light on what it feels like to be me.
29 Things You Didn't Know About Me
Anyhoo. Here goes. The uncalled for, list of 29 things you didn't -want to- know about me:
2. I am a bookworm. Although not officially diagnosed, the nature of my relationship to brilliantly written books, doesn't leave much room for a debate. I am a book addict! I read more than 2-3 books a month and skim through at least 5 or 6 more. My iPad has become invaluable to me, since I can lightly carry with me hundreds of books, everywhere I go. I call it the BookMobile. Yeah, I know…
3. I only wear Black and White clothes. Last year I switched from being a notorious fashionista, trying out almost every new trend available, to a more subtle, classy, personal style. Simplifying dressing and shopping for clothes, has been a blessing for me. I do love fashion and I consider myself quite style conscious but choosing what to wear, can be a time consuming daily activity in which I am no longer interested in investing in. I still use bold, colourful bags, shoes and accessories to style up my outfits but the general idea is to have the whole dressing up thing done an over with, in under 10 minutes.
4. I find cheesecakes, sinfully delicious. If you ask me, when the creamy cheese filling, meets the crusty biscuit base, magic happens! I simply cannot resist. Strawberry swirl cheesecakes are my all time favourites, although you will most likely never see me saying no, to a mouthwatering blueberry cheesecake or a more simple yet equally irresistible and highly addictive New York Cheesecake.
5. I am writing an Affirmation Book for children. I really do. And I want my son to be all "Whee Wee", when I read it to him for the first time, so fingers crossed. It is called "Awesome Me" and will soon be available for download, to all my newsletter subscribers. So, if you haven't already, sign up for our free newsletter, today and you will get the super secret link, to download the book, quite soon, right to your inbox!
7. My favourite iPhone app is Lift,
8. I think Gerard Butler is HOT,
9. As a kid I always wanted to be Cheetara. Thunder, Thunder, Thundercaaaaaaats!
10. I dream of living in Bali for at least a couple of years,
11. I do not drive a car. True Story,
12. If I had my way I would only wear high heels and I would have at least 365 of them,
13. The "I Love Love" perfume, by Moschino, is my all time favourite scent,
14. I am scared of clowns,
15. The only reason I am not a professional dancer, is that I am a totally uncoordinated mess.
16. I hate the gym, although I love my yoga,
17. I take a 30 minute walk every day with my hubby to set the right tone for the day,
18. I am extremely tolerant to pain, I once had a broken arm for two days before I finally went to the hospital,
19. I am rocking my pixie haircut since 2011,
20. My favourite wine is, Ramon Bilbao, an intensely flavoured Gran Reserva, red wine from Rioja.
21. I am always late, or rather other people are always early,
22. I am the only one turning off the lights when leaving a room in my house of 3,
23. I drive a scooter and I am loving it,
24. This July, I will be celebrating my first TV Free year. Only movies are allowed in our house,
25. I put barbecue sauce on practically everything,
26. My hubby and son, have taught me the most in life,
27. I hate yogurt but I love smoothies. Weird huh?
28. I can't keep a plant alive if my life dependent on it,
29. My son calls me "mommy lion"
That was it! Now you know, a lot of -embarrassing- things about me, none of which I can take back.
It actually feels quite therapeutic.
